Jude 24-25 Now to Him Who Is Able to...Present You Blameless
Jude 24–25 Now to Him Who Is Able to...Present You Blameless
Introduction
As we reach the end of a turbulent book that has pressed warnings into us like few others, it would be natural to feel unsettled. Jude has pulled back the curtain on false teachers, ungodly influences, and the dangers that creep into the church. We could leave this letter with more fear than faith, wondering if we are strong enough to endure. But Jude does not close with fear. He closes with hope and worship. These verses remind us that the security of our faith does not rest in our grip on God but in His grip on us.
God Himself is the one who keeps His people. He is the one who presents them blameless. He is the only God, our Savior, who deserves every ounce of glory, majesty, dominion, and authority forever. This truth is not just a comfort, it is the dividing line of eternity.
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
1. Why We Cannot Reject Jesus, God Keeps
Jude began his letter by addressing believers as those who are called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ (Jude 1). Now he closes by saying that God is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy (Jude 24). The book begins and ends with the same truth, you are kept.
That means you are not unclaimed property. You are not fatherless, even if your earthly situation says otherwise. You are not left to fend for yourself. You are His responsibility, His beloved, His joy. In the middle of the book, we have seen false teachers twisting grace and rejecting Jesus, but their accusations and schemes cannot break the bond between Christ and His people.
Yes, we have responsibilities, to know the Scriptures, to pray in dependence on the Spirit, to hope in God’s promises, and to extend mercy to others, but those practices do not secure our salvation. God Himself secures us. The strength of our salvation is not found in us, but in the one to whom we belong.
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
2. Secured and Shepherded by the Hands of God
Jude unites two truths we often separate, sanctification and glorification. Sanctification is the present work of God shaping us into Christ’s image, pruning sin, setting us apart. Glorification is the future completion of that work when we are raised with Christ in His likeness. Both belong to Him.
We do not strive for holiness for recognition or to stand out as difficult. We strive because God is shaping us into what He will one day reveal fully. This life is schooling for eternity. We are being trained in truth now so that one day we will stand complete.
The testimony of Scripture shows this same thread:
- Job — God Himself declared Job blameless, even when Satan accused (Job 1:8–11; 2:3–5). Blamelessness is God’s verdict, not Satan’s opinion.
- Zechariah — Joshua the high priest stood in filthy garments while Satan accused. God rebuked Satan, plucked Joshua from the fire, removed his filth, and clothed him in righteousness (Zechariah 3:1–5). Blamelessness is God’s gift, not Joshua’s achievement.
- The Gospel — In Christ, the same verdict is ours. We are declared righteous by faith, washed, clothed, and secured in His standing.
God has always been the one who makes His people blameless.
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
3. Judged Before Our Lord, Blameless
The story does not end with accusation but with celebration. Jesus Himself said the kingdom is like a wedding feast, where only those clothed rightly belong (Matthew 22:1–14). Revelation 7 describes a multitude clothed in white robes, washed in the blood of the Lamb, worshiping with joy (Revelation 7:9–17). Revelation 19 says the Bride has clothed herself in fine linen, bright and pure, because she was given righteousness as a gift (Revelation 19:6–8).
This is what Jude promises, one day we will be presented blameless before God’s glory with great joy. The accusations will not stand. The filthy garments are gone. The new garments are ours. And the courtroom has given way to the wedding feast.
This is not wishful thinking, it is God’s guarantee. Blamelessness declared now will be blamelessness displayed forever.
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
4. Only Worship Him
Jude closes with worship, “to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen” (Jude 25).
Only God is worthy of your devotion. Only He can save. Only He can declare you blameless. Only He has authority over your soul. False teachers, worldly pleasures, human wisdom, none of them can clothe you in righteousness. None of them can keep you from stumbling. None of them can present you with joy in His glory.
Worship belongs to Him alone because salvation belongs to Him alone.
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
Conclusion
Jude has warned us with sharp words and urgent pictures. But he ends with assurance. If you belong to Christ, God Himself will keep you. He will sanctify you. He will present you blameless with joy. And because of that, your response should be clear:
- Let this truth comfort your soul, God will ensure your perseverance.
- Let this truth fill you with hope, a future has been secured for you.
- Let this truth stir your worship, glory belongs to Him alone.
This is the final word:
God has declared you blameless in Christ, do not reject Him or there is no hope.
